Tutti noi abbiamo una birra preferita, ma vi immaginate quanto sarebbe bello potere bere una birra personalizzata in base alle preferenze del nostro corpo?
A Londra, un birrificio ha avuto un’idea particolarissima quanto geniale, che unisce la birra al dna. Ciaran Giblin, birraio della Meantime Brewery ha deciso di realizzare una birra preparata sulla base del dna delle persone, poiché esso è in grado di distinguere i gusti che il nostro corpo apprezza di più.
Il costo? 25.000 sterline, che corrispondono a circa 26.000 euro. Dopo avere provato ciò su sé stesso ed esserne rimasto sorpreso, Ciaran Giblin ha deciso di proporre questo servizio ai suoi clienti.
“What we looked at doing was trying to create a beer where we could produce a drink specifically to that person, so looking at their DNA to understand the taste profile of the individual to then say OK, you particularly identify bitter flavours or sweet flavours and then produce a beer which has that characteristic so you would ultimately like that beer and it would suit your taste buds perfectly“ ha dichiarato Ciaran Giblin.
I clienti che vorranno la loro birra personalizzata dovranno fornire al birrificio un campione di saliva, che verrà analizzato dalla società partner del progetto per trovare il TASR2R38, gene che indirizza la preferenza verso il salato o verso il dolce e che è importante per la percezione dei sapori. È proprio grazie a questo gene che viene creata la birra personalizzata. Successivamente, quando la bevanda sarà ultimata, ci sarà un incontro con il cliente per assicurarsi che la birra possa essere di suo gradimento. Per 25.000 sterline riceverete 12 ettolitri di birra personalizzata, che potrete inviare anche nei pub, scegliendo il nome e personalizzando la vostra etichetta.
Richard Myers, direttore marketing della Meantime Brewery ha spiegato: “You have influence on what the label looks like, on what the taste of the beer looks like. You can even get a glass perfectly formed to your hand so you can enjoy it in the perfect way. A glass can influence the flavour of the beer as well. So it really ticks off every box that you go through and then you get to share it with friends or if you’re a business or wherever you go”
